Thanksgiving in DC (2007) : Another Thanksgiving, another year to be thankful for friends and family in the Distric of Columbia. This time, the Kramer's outdid themselves with the mother of all feasts, feeding 27 people (even with the power going out!!) Audrey kept her cool and masterfully directed another successful family gathering. THe next day, a rousing game of Cranium brought out the creative juices in all of us, and even though the ending was disuptable (by me) it was a great evening of entertainment. GO MU!!!

Doyle's River Cabin : Denise, Randal, Jessica, Bill and the Abrahams got together in the Shanadoah Valley for a weekend in the wilderness. The weather was absolutely gorgeous, and the scenery was amazing. Cooking over a fire, hiking past waterfalls and witnessing the wrath of wild bears were just a sample of the many unique events that only 'roughin' it can bring.

Kansas City (Labor Day) : Kansas City! It had been nearly two years since I saw my beloved Royals play, and over Labor Day weekend, I was able to see my faithful boys in blue plop a dud to the Detroit Tigers at Kaufman stadium. Even though that loss started the week off on a sour note, Teviya and I were able to turn things around quickly by keeping ourselves busy with friends and family. We went to Strauds, Arthur Bryants, the Nelson, Farmers Market, Jim & Kelley's new house, Tietgen's wedding and Denise's belated birthday BASH!!! Best moment though was when we were at BoLings and everyone was taking pictures of each other with our cell phones so we could update our photo-contacts. What a dorky family!!!

Los Angeles 2007 (take 2) : Two trips to LA in one summer? That's right - another business trip lands Jon & Teviya back in the Golden State with James and Arlene again playing the part of amazing hosts. This time though, we were able to plan our itinerary a bit, so sightseeing was up and down-time was non-existant. Just so happened to be my birthday as well, so you know we had to do a little partying... hee hee...

December 05 (Vancouver) : What better way to celebrate the holidays than by adding fantastic new members to the family! On New Years Eve, Chris and Sue got married and there were many many pictures taken. But the five days that led up to the big day is what this gallery is all about. 90 percent of the time, we ate out. Polar Plunge 2006 : Polar Plunge 2006 saw Chris, Jessica and I raise more than $300 towards the Special Olympics. Even though the event took place the first week of February, it was a balmy 50-some degrees outdoors (but it felt like 20). It appeared that there were more than 3000 participants this year, and we even had a gaggle of supporters bring us Starbucks afterwards!

Thanksgiving in DC (2005) : Thanksgiving at the Kramers in DC! Liver & Onions, a 10-yr grandkids reunion, and a major camera repair made up this last-minute destination vacation. These are the last shots my camera made before going under the surgeon's knife. (I should be getting it back in a week or so). Special thanks to Audrey, Kenneth and Beth for housing us without warning.

36 hours in NY : To celebrate one year from the day that we got engaged, Teviya and I took a spontaneous trip to New York for the weekend. Taking the $40 Asian Bus at 12:30am, we arrived in NY at 6:30am and proceeded to have probably the most action-filled day of the summer. Sunrise at the Manhatten Bridge, breakfast at the Union Square Market, a visit to our friend Anne, followed by lunch in Little Italy. We then mosied on over to Coney Island where I waited in line for 30 minutes for a hot dog, and I was only halfway through the line when I gave up. We then booked it to the lower east side to meet Teviya's cousin David who kindly gave us his apartment for the night. We then ate some amazing Crepes around the block from his house, then took the PATH to Hoboken for a house party. Needless to say, we slept well THAT night!

Mom & Jul Visit (DC) : Julius decides to visit VB before going back to his senior year in college. He and my mom hung out on the beach for a few days, before we all went up to DC (for both business & pleasure). Saw a few museums, ate some tapas, paid a fortune for gas, and got lost in Adams Morgan. A weekend to remember!!

Strawberry Festival : Getting back to our farming roots, Teviya and I ventured down to Pungo for the annual Strawberry Festival. Oddly enough, the strawberries down there weren't exactly cheap, but we managed to get some delicious deserts. Activities included riding the ferris wheel, watching the pig-races, and having front-row seats to the parade & pie eating contest. Afterwards, we came back and celebrated our one year pre-anniversary by walking along the coast and writing our 'save the date' in the sand. awwwwwww.

Dustin & Faye Visit : Good ol' high school buddy Dustin Cuban visited VB in May, and boy... was it Cubanish! Apart from staying an hour and half away from us in Williamsburg, it was a great week. A couple of shoots on the beach, an opening night premeire of StarWars III, and a slightly less memorable premeire of Jim's uncut short film, Thad Christ. If only something in our apt. hadn't made Faye's allergies go bonkers...

Polar Plunge 05 : The air temperature wasn't much over the freezing threshold, so I can't even imagine what the water was like. Nevertheless, this quirky February benefit for the Special Olympics brought out a record crowd, as hundreds of brave participants rushed into the freezing waters.
